An SR22 is a filing that an insurance company sends electronically to the state of Ohio as verification that you have at least the state minimum of amount of liability.
A bond represents the liability portion of the SR22 bond. The total amount of liability covered by an SR-22 bond is $75,000. This breaks downs to cover $25,000 for any one person injured or $50,000 for any two people injured and $25,000 for property damage liability caused in an accident where you are found to be at fault.
NO! A policy can provide additional coverage such as uninsured motorist or physical damage for your vehicle. The bond DOES NOT. The bond strictly provides the state minimum of liability for damages you cause to the specified limit.
